ArtMan Association: Where Dance Meets Inclusion in Hungary
ArtMan Association: Where Dance Meets Inclusion in Hungary
Our Mission
ArtMan Association is dedicated to creating inclusive spaces where people of all abilities can
come together to dance, explore self-awareness, and engage in artistic creation. We believe
that art and therapy have the power to break down barriers and foster a more accepting
society.
Our primary goal is to provide opportunities for active participation in the arts for individuals
with severe disabilities who have been excluded from traditional employment and integration
programs. We work with diverse groups, including people with visual impairments, autism,
intellectual disabilities, and other challenges.
Our Approach
We believe that by bringing together individuals with varying abilities, we can create a more
inclusive world. Our long-term vision is to challenge societal attitudes towards disability and
promote social equality through the performing arts and group work.
Our artistic approach is innovative and fluid, blending contemporary dance with therapeutic
techniques. We push the boundaries of disability and contemporary art, creating unique and
inspiring performances.
Our Work
● Tánceánia Ensemble: Our flagship company, Tánceánia, has been creating
groundbreaking performances for 25 years. This ensemble brings together
professional dancers and individuals with disabilities, showcasing the power of
inclusive artistry.
● ArtMenők Program: This program provides young people with and without disabilities
the opportunity to explore their creativity through movement.Through creative and
performing arts processes, these workshops culminate in the creation of physical
theater performances.
● NemÁrt! Program:NemÁrt! is an all-day arts program designed to foster inclusivity
and creativity. Through hands-on art-making activities led by artists with and without
disabilities, students in public education explore contemporary art practices while
developing empathy and challenging stereotypes about disability. By working
together, participants learn to appreciate diversity and break down barriers.English

Our Impact
Our work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Lábán Rudolf Special
Prize and a feature in Fidelio's Kult50. But our greatest reward is seeing the transformative
impact of our programs on the lives of our participants. Through dance, we have empowered
individuals, fostered community, and challenged societal norms.
Our Values
● Inclusion: We believe that everyone has the right to participate in the arts.
● Innovation: We constantly seek new ways to engage and inspire our participants.
● Collaboration: We work closely with artists, therapists, and educators to create
unique and meaningful experiences.
Join us in creating a more inclusive world through dance.
